Mexico

This year for Christmas, Keith and Debbie took all of their kids (and spouses) to Cancun Mexico. We make quite a good looking group. Jeff just cliff jumped into this beautiful water

If your thinking that we all look like drowned rats, then your right. This is the night that we got caught in a flash flood. It had been sunny all day, we then went inside and got ready for dinner. Tonight were were going to a restaurant that the concierge recommended. When we walked out of the hotel, it was raining, but not that bad, so we decided to head out.
We went to the bus stop, and didn't have to wait long for a bus. As it started to rain harder, we were comfortable and dry in the bus.
We got off at the stop that we were told to. Well it didn't take us long to figure out, that we were given poor directions. It rained harder and harder. We were completely drenched. Well after being in the rain for a while, trying to find this restaurant, and not finding it, it became our mission to find it.
Finally after asking countless people, and zig zagging through the streets of downtown Cancun, we found our restaurant. I was extremely happy that they decided to let us in. As soon as we were seated (in the back of the restaurant) I went to the bathroom, and wrung out my clothes. After that we had an enjoyable evening.

We had a great time in Cancun! Thank you Keith and Debbie for taking us with you!!

Happy New Year 2009

Happy New Years!! We had a great New Years. We went to our friends house for some Rock Band, and games. Hunter and Houston had fun playing with the other kids. Unfortunately we had to leave slightly before midnight, so we were driving when it became the new year.
Good thing that with kids, you don't have to celebrate exactly at the right time. We pulled out our hats, and noise makers when we got home. The boys loved it, and we had fun.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning is my absolute favorite part of Christmas. This year Jeff and I woke the boys up. Hunter was a little confused when we first woke him up, but as soon as we mentioned that Santa had been to our house, he jumped out of bed, and was ready for the day.
Houston was just as happy as ever. This was his first Christmas, so he really didn't know what to expect. Jeff still looking sleepy, but doing a good job with the camera.
Hunter first wanted to open the present he had been eyeing under the tree, for the past two weeks. It was really big, and it was for all three boys. He told me that he really wanted it to be a super big transformer.
I don't think he was disappointed when he found out it was a fire sled. I think that picture says it all.

We have some very happy boys. Houston really likes his new hat. I think Jeff likes it even more.

Hunter with his favorite hat.
This is what Santa brought Houston. He loves it! He walks all over the house now. It won't be long until he won't need the lion anymore.
Christmas was a lot of fun! I love seeing all my friends and family. It makes you appreciate what's important in life.
With that all said, I am sooo freaking glad that Christmas comes only once a year.

Christmas Eve

It's been a really long time since I added anything to my blog, so I'm trying to make up for it now. Christmas Eve was a blast. We went to the regular Christmas parties, and enjoyed all of our families. My favorite part of Christmas Eve, was our own family tradition. Every year after all the parties are done, and we are home for the night, we start our own small party. It begins with the boys opening a present.
Of course they open the present to find brand new pajamas. Some kids might not like getting clothes for a present, but Hunter is always excited for any present. As soon as he saw what was in the box he shouted, "No, Way!!"
After the boys found their new pajamas, we then open a family present. Every year on Christmas Eve, we buy a new game. Jeff and I take turns picking out the game. This year it was: Sorry. We then make hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows, and play the game together. It's a lot more fun now, that Hunter can really play with us.
After the game, we then put out cookies for Santa, and carrots for all the reindeer. Hunter told me that Santa's favorite cookies were Oreo Cakesters.

Fun Pictures

After we had our family pictures taken, we decided to take some of our own.

I have such cute boys!Hunter took this picture for us.

Ist Annual Turkey Trot

This Thanksgiving my family started a new tradition. We had our first annual Turkey Trot. It's a 5K run, up Provo canyon. The morning was cold a crisp, but not too cold for a run. We started out with the kid race. The four year old's (Hunter, Halle, and Brighton.) Took of at an excited pace. They are at the age, where you run just for the fun of running. They followed their older cousin Luke around the course. They each got a medal at the end of the race.

Jeff and I ran together. My mom stayed back with Houston and Hunter. After we ran a brisk 3.1 miles, we returned back, and had some warm hot chocolate.

Twilight

The day was finally here! Twilight the movie was going to be released! I was so excited. This is something that I have been waiting for, before a movie was going to be made. So of course, my friends and I, had to go to a midnight showing. Bekah was the hero of the day, and got us all tickets to the new theater, by University Mall. We had quite the group with us. My friends, plus most of Siomara's siblings, and my parents. (Who knew my dad would want to go to a chick flick?)

I arrived at the theater at nine. (We needed to get good seats!) Siomara was already their with her brother and sisters. I settled in for a long wait. It was kind of cold, so I was happy that I opted for a heavier jacket. Bekah and Erin made it with plenty of time to spare.

We were seated around 10:30. I was extremely glad, because it was getting colder by the second.
Kayla made it in, just a short while before the movie started. Finally it was movie time. Now I have heard that either people absolutely love the movie, or they absolutely hate it. I happen to fall in to the group, that absolutely loved the movie. It was a very different experience watching the movie with most of the audience being female. You could feel the energy and excitement. The first time Edward was shown on the screen, there was a very audible gasp. When Edward and Bella finally kissed, the audience went crazy. I think that without our husbands present, there was no need to tapper down our responses. No need to say, "Yes, he is attractive, but not as cute as you!" Instead you could say, "Man, I want to wash my clothes on his stomach!"
As soon as the movie was over, I was ready to watch it again.
After the movie, I told Jeff that if he ever wanted to know how to treat a woman, just watch Twilight, and act like Edward.
