Sleepy Boy

Last night I was watching TV with Hunter. It was past his bedtime, and he was looking a little sleepy. I asked him if he was ready for bed yet, but he said that he wasn't sleepy, but his eyes kept trying to close, and he wasn't going to let them.
I told him to hurry and go brush his teeth downstairs. Then, when he was done, he could come back up a watch the show a little more. He really didn't want to brush his teeth, but went downstairs anyway to go do it. Well, I didn't hear from Hunter for a while. The show ended, and I went downstairs to check on him. When I got half way down the stairs, I found him. Dead asleep! I guess that some people can fall asleep anywhere.

Date Night

On Saturday, Hunter and I went on a date night. It seems that I have very little time with just Hunter, so we decided to go out and spend some quality time together.
Hunter was very excited! He got all dressed up, and even put some of his Dad's cologne on. We went to see Monster's vs. Aliens, in the new theaters by University Mall. Hunter really loved the movie! After the movie we went to Iggy's to eat. Hunter decided that he wanted to try something different then the regular chicken strips. So he went for the mini corn dogs. He absolutely loved it.
I had a good time with him. He was polite and good company. He was the perfect gentelman. It was really nice to spend some one on one time with him.

Bowling

For weeks now, Hunter has been talking about going bowling. Every time we would pass Fat Cats, he would say, "That's were we are going to go bowling." So last Saturday, Jeff and I decided to take the boys bowling.

Hunter did really well, he even beat me! (Apparently I'm a horrible bowler when I'm pregnant)
Houston really enjoyed himself too! He really loved rolling the ball down the ramp. We had fun together as a family!

Fun in the Sun

Since we have been having some randomly nice days, Jeff and I try to take advantage of them. We like to take the boys out, and have some fun with them.
Jeff would have made a good cheerleader!!
Houston loves the swing set. He will try to go outside any chance he gets! The first thing he goes for is the swings. It's quite a feat, because the swing set is up on a hill, and he has to literally crawl up the hill. As you can see, it's definatly worth it to him.

Baby Update

I told people that I would post an update on my pregnancy, when I had one. Well, yesterday I went to Utah Valley to get another ultrasound. (That makes six!) The first tech came in, and took all of our baby's measurements. She is growing perfectly, (and is still a girl.) They said that she weighs about two pounds and one ounce.
After the tech was finished, the doctor came in. He checked the blood clot, or bruise, to see if it was healing at all. Turns out, it is completely gone. He couldn't find it at all. I am released from partial bed rest, as long as no other complications arise.
Jeff and I are so relieved. It's been about thirteen weeks of worry and anxiety over this little one. She is doing great, and so are we!
Here is a picture of her cute profile

Wicked

Last night Jeff and I were very lucky to go see Wicked at the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake. I have been to lots of plays in my lifetime, but this was the first time that I was able to see a Broadway style production. The play was incredible! I really loved it. Jeff really liked it too. Thank you Keith and Debbie for taking us to see this great play! Also thank you Mom and Dad, for watching my kids so late, even though you had to get up really early in the morning.

Movie Day

Hunter and Houston recently got together with their cousins for a movie day. The weather was horrible outside, so a nice cozy day inside sounded nice. We watched The Wizard of Oz. As you can see, all the kids were entranced. Houston wanted to be just like the big kids, it was so cute I just had to take some pictures.

Houston even got up and danced with the other kids when the Munchkins were performing their song. Houston actually looked like he belonged in Munchkin Land. It was a really fun day!

Easter

The Saturday before Easter, we took our boys to the Spanish Fork Easter Egg Hunt. We have tried many different Egg Hunts, and wanted to give Spanish Fork a try. (We are going to be living there soon.)
When we woke up, we realized it was raining. Now to some people, that would be the excuse they needed to not go. Not us. Jeff is really big on Easter Egg Hunts, so our hope was that not so many people would show up, and we could have less competition.
Well, turns out that the people of Spanish Fork, would not let a little rain ruin the fun. There was quite the turn out. It was really nice because they had different softball fields, for different age groups.
Jeff took Hunter, and I took Houston. After the fire engine ran its horn, we were off. Houston and I made a killing! Meanwhile, Hunter ended up with only a few eggs. Jeff had told Hunter to run past the beginning eggs and start picking up the eggs in the middle of the field. Well Hunter ran as fast as he could, and picked up an egg. Then he would run as fast as he could again, and pick up another egg. By the time Jeff was able to correct Hunter, the eggs were all gone. Lucky for him, Houston really is not a big candy eater yet, so he had no problem sharing his eggs with his older brother.
This is the boys before the big Easter Egg Hunt.
These are some of the prizes that we won from the eggs.
Me and my boyz!
Overall, it was a great Easter Egg Hunt. Jeff liked it because in lots of the eggs, there were prizes to be won. (Our kids will have free fries from Burger King for a month!) We had a fun time!

We Broke Ground!!

Yesterday, we broke ground on our new house! Keith is doing the excavation for us, so we came by to see how things are going. This is Hunter and Grandpa Keith, in front of the hole and the yellow backhoe.
We are so excited to be building! I will post updates and pictures as our house starts growing!

Playing Time with Cael

Last week Mindy and Cael came from Nevada to visit. Cael and Houston are only weeks apart in age. They had lots and lots of fun together. They were also teaching each other new tricks. Cael showed Houston how fun it is, to pull things off shelves. Houston showed Cael where all the pots and pans were. They had a great time banging lids together, and on the floor.

Houston is Growing Up

The other day was a big day for Houston. I was holding him, and he was helping me turn off the lights. After everyone he helped me with, I would tell him to say: "I did it!"

Well much to my surprise, he started saying, "I did it!"

I was so surprised! Up to this point, he would say Dada, Buba, bye bye, hi, and an occasional hello. I was expecting him to start saying other small words, like Mama. No, he decided to go with an entire sentence.

Well, I was thoroughly impressed with my little one year old, but he wasn't done giving me surprises yet. Later that day, I was trying to keep him and Hunter entertained. I finally gave Houston a soccer ball to play with.

It was like some natural instinct took over. He kicked that ball around for an hour. I have never seen anything like it. I didn't know that a one year old, could focus on something for that long. We might just have the youngest soccer player in history.

I had to call Jeff at work, to tell him about his amazing son. I couldn't wait to tell him about Houston saying an entire sentence. Jeff was happy about Houston talking, but when I told him about him playing with the soccer ball he was ecstatic! I think he might have gotten a tear in his eye. His little boy is growing up and playing sports!
