A Pirate Party

Before school started this fall, Bekah and I decided to have one last party with the kids, so we put together a Pirate party.  Everyone had to dress up as pirates.  Here is Halle and Brighton as Pirates!
We made each child their own pirate hat.  They each picked out a tattoo to complete their pirate costume.  Here is the pirates Houston and Hunter.
Harley also wanted to join in on the fun.  She made a very cute pirate.
After everyone arrived, and dressed, we were ready to let the games begin.  One of the first games was a race down in the creepy basement.  It was too funny to see all the kids racing around on baby toys.

After the race, the pirates took a minute to relax with Bekah.
The kids played lots of other games.  They had to count the stars in dark room that was only lit by black light.  They each had to take a leap of faith and walk the plank.  Here they had to shoot cannons (balls) at another ship. (basketball hoop)
They then had to go fish for their food.

To end the party, the kids had to go on a real treasure hunt and dig up buried treasure.  This was no easy task!  They first had to fight the evil pirate Bekah, in the playhouse to get the map.  The map lead them through tall weeds and around sticker bushes.  They followed the map and finally found an X clearly marked with stones, in the dirt.  After digging up the X, they found a small box, with a key inside.
Hunter knew exactly were they key went to.  They raced up the stairs, and finally opened their treasure chest.  Inside was the very best kind of treasure: Chocolate, toys, and more tattoos!

We had such a fun time!  The kids loved being pirates for the day!

It was a great way to end the summer!!

Summer Nights

I love the summer time!  It's my very favorite time of the year.  It's especially fun to go get and ice cream cone, after an especially hot day.

The Drive-In

Every year Jeff and I love to take our kids to the Drive-In.  We pile up the back of the 4-runner with pillows and blankets, to make it nice and comfy.  We also load up on tons and tons of treats for the movies!  Here is Hunter and Houston, they love it!
Here are all the boys in the back of the 4-runner, waiting for Toy Story 3 to start!
Here are the girls!  Harley couldn't take her eyes off the movie screen!  She had a blast!

Hayden's Birthday Party

Brooke's baby Hayden turned one!  She put together such a beautiful birthday party.  The cupcakes were so cute and tasted amazing!  I really loved the twisty balloons.
Baby Hayden having a taste of his birthday cake.  I can't believe how grown up this little guy is.  His little personality is really starting to show!  I'm so glad that Harley has a cousin so close to her in age.
Harley and I, enjoying the party!
Chris and Houston, giving five!
Houston loved loved loved the cupcakes!!
Brad enjoying his cake and ice cream!

Grandpa Brad, Harley, and Witney.
No party is complete without a hula hoop.  I haven't used one of these in years!  I did finally get the hang of it.
Jeff, it turns out, is great at the hula hoop.  I had to get a movie of it, just for proof.

PJ Party

Before Tash and her family left Utah, we had a early morning PJ party.  The kids all came in their pajamas for some great breakfast and some fun.  It's crazy, when I first became friends with Tasha, we didn't have any kids.  Now with Me, Tasha, Bekah, and Kayla, we have ten kids!
Houston was too busy to stay still for the picture.

Summer Nights at the Ballpark

Ever since I have known Jeff, he has played on a men's softball team.  So every week, we got to the ballpark to watch him play.  I love watching him hit the ball out of the park.  He his a great player.  He plays left field, and makes amazing catches.  I don't know how he gets to the ball sometimes?!
I want my kids to see their dad playing softball, so I do bring the circus with me to the games.
Here is Hunter and Houston enjoying the game and some snacks. (Snacks are a necessity!)
Alicia's husband Brandon also plays on the team.  She is always willing to help me with the kids!  Harley especially loves her. (and her drinks)
Tasha and her family came to Utah for a few weeks, so her husband Dave was able to play on the team too.  It was great having her there, just like old times!  She brought her three beautiful girls with her.

Day After the Party

Harley partied so hard the night before, that she was exhausted the next day.  She fell asleep during lunch.
Houston fell asleep at the same time.  Cute babies!!

Harley's Second Party

Here is Harley enjoying a birthday balloon at the Gordon/Wilson party.
I made another Tinkerbell cake for Harley's party.  The wings actually flutter.

Grandma Debbie holding Harley with Jaylyn.
Harley and Deagan playing with the balloon.  It's so nice that Harley has cousins that so close to her in age!  This little guy will be one in October!
Harley got a push and ride Little Mermaid toy from Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Keith.  She loves it!  It plays music from the Little Mermaid.
Jaylyn made a birthday card for Harley.  It's still hanging on our fridge.
Harley wasn't the only one who loved the Little Mermaid toy.  Her cousin Hayden loves it too!  He would dance to the music with Harley.  It was too cute.

Harley loved her cake.  She thought it was really good, but she doesn't like to be covered in cake.
I just love this picture!!
Jeff holding Deagan. I love his little round face.
Houston thought it would be really fun to take pictures of Grandpa Brad.  Grandpa was happy to pose for him.
