Lots and Lots and Lots of Fall Fun

Playing in the Leaves!
Every Fall, Jeff and I love to take the kids up the canyon to go play in the fall leaves.  This year we went up Hobble Creek, and as you can see, the kids (and Duke) had a great time!
Harley just loves Duke!  He is almost bigger then she is, but that doesn't stop her from playing with him, and telling him "NO!" when he is too wild.
Houston and Duke really like Houston's shirt.
 Hunter and Duke playing
We made a big pile of leaves, and then jumped in them!  The kids all thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.  Duke loved to run through the pile as fast as possible.

My boys! (they are so cute!)
I think that Duke had just nipped Jeff on the bum.  Hunter almost started crying because he was laughing so hard.
Here I am with Harley and Duke on my lap.  Hunter is climbing the tree, while Houston is hidden in the background.  He blends in great!
 Where's Houston? (Look by Duke)

Bears Party

Jeff is a huge fan of the Chicago Bears, so of course when they play we have a party.  Here is Houston, Jeff, and Hunter getting ready for the game.
Here is everyone watching the game.  Harley loves to watch football with her dad.
This is what happens when Jeff gives Harley a yummy treat!  She thoroughly enjoys herself.

Halloween Movie Night

Every year around Halloween, we like to do a special movie night just for scary movies.  This year we tried a new tradition, the kids dressed up in old costumes for the movie night.  Harley is a Dronkey (dragon-donkey), Houston is a frog, and Hunter is a Transformer.  All the kids LOVED dressing up for movie night.  It was really hard to get them to sit still because they were running around so much!

This year we watch Nightmare Before Christmas.  It was one of Hunter's favorite movies when he was younger, and now it is Houston's favorite movie.  Harley enjoys the music, and will get up and dance a song comes on.

Brad's Birthday Party
Our family all got together for Brad's birthday.  It was really fun to come and celebrate together.  Here is Brad and Brad enjoying a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday.
Brad didn't want anyone blowing out his candle.
Harley and Deagan were fascinated with Jade (the dog outside)
Witney serving up ice cream.  She is a pro at it!

When Things Get Too Quiet
When things get too quiet, you know that there is mischief afoot!  This is what Houston left for me.  He was practicing making is own PBJ sandwich.  Unfortunately he didn't get past the putting the knife in the PB.  When I saw this, I just had to laugh.

Jenna's Birthday Party

My parents had a BBQ in honor of my birthday.  My mom made these delicious  Lava Cakes for the birthday treat.  They are to die for, but not the greatest for candles.  My dad got some Glo Balls to solve the problem.  After they sang Happy Birthday, Houston was really upset, because he didn't get to blow out the candle.  So we re-lit the candle, and he blew it out.  We then had to do it again, for all the other kids.  Needless to say, I did not eat that Glo Ball.

Crazy Hair Day
This year for Crazy Hair day, Hunter had too short of hair to do anything with it.  So we got out our Halloween costumes, and found some hair color.  Houston had to join in on the fun.
Although Hunter had awesome hair, his school didn't like him having color in his hair, so he had to come home and wash it out.  I was not happy about this!  If they are going to have a day like Crazy Hair, then the students should be allowed (for one day) to have crazy color in their hair.  Oh well, at least we got these happy pictures before.

Our New Addition
We have a new addition to out family.  Meet Duke!  He is a Boxer, and we got him when he was only six weeks old.

The kids are very excited to have a puppy.  Hunter has done great with taking on some of the responsibilities. I'm excited to have him, because once he is full grown, I can take him running with me.  Most people won't bother someone with a seventy pound dog!

Afternoon Reading
As many of you know, I love to read! When I get extra time, that's what I do.  I guess my kids have noticed this too.  They decided to have a little reading party of their own, in the clothes basket.
Houston put a pillow at the bottom, and then helped Harley into the basket.  He then got a book for her and for himself.

Lake Powell

For Labor Day this year, we went to Lake Powell with Keith and Debbie.  This was Harley's first time going. The kids were so excited to go!

After some fun adventures, we finally made it to Lake Powell.  Here is Hunter on the boat.  Lake Powell is one of his favorite places on Earth.
The Wilson boys enjoying the boat ride.
Harley loved the boat ride so much, she fell asleep.
We had an awesome beach this year, mostly because Jeff leveled out an area and turned it into a putting green.  He also brought the boys putter's so they could practice.
Here I am practicing my putting.  I have to show all the boys how it's done.

All these boys are so cute!  It's so nice to have cousins around the same age!
My boys fishing!  I love this picture.
Houston loved the boat!  He wanted to climb around just like all the other big kids.  Here he is fishing with his brother and cousins.
Hunter and Brad.  Hunter finally caught a fish on the last day.
Houston loved sitting on the back of the boat.  He would occasionally just starting smiling, for no reason at all.  While we were waiting to leave the water, the bigger boys had fun being silly in the boat.  Here is Luca and Hunter posing for the camera.
