Fourth of July Weekend

Fourth of July was on a Sunday this year.  Our church doesn't start until 2:30, so we had plenty of time to play during the day.  We took the kids on a picnic up Spanish Fork Canyon.  The only swings they had were baby swings, which was great for Harley and Houston, but.................
Not as fun for Jeff and Hunter!  Somehow Jeff managed to squeeze into the little baby swing.

Jeff is just adorable!!
So after my husband managed to get into that little swing, I had to give it a try.
Yay I did it!!  It was NOT the most comfortable swing I have ever been in!
Houston loves to swing!  He could swing all day long.  Here I was showing him something new he could do with his swing.
Harley loved loved loved the swings.  She is already a little thrill seaker.

After church we headed over to Bekah's house to do some fireworks.  Kayla, Kevin, and Mash were there.  Steve and Tammy, Cate and Todd, and Tasmin all came to enjoy the festivities.
Bekah had made a bunch of cookies for the party, but their new dog Anna ate ALL of them! (She is tall enough to reach the counter)  Kayla brought some watermelon, so everything was fine.  Harley loved the watermelon, and ate all of mine!

Houston loved the fireworks!

Everyone had glow stick on.  It made it really nice, because it made keeping track of little kids much easier.  Especially Houston, he loves to run around, but we could always find him, by his glow stick necklace.
The kids loved the sparklers!

Houston would help Jeff light the fireworks.  As soon as he lit it, he would turn around and run back to the sidewalk yelling, "Run, run, run!!"  Most of the time you could only see his necklace running toward you.
Jeff loves fire!

Cate, Kayla, and Mash.  Mash wasn't really sure what he thought about the fireworks.  Lucky his mom was there to enjoy it with him.

We had so much fun doing fireworks, and just being with our family and friends!  Happy Forth of July everyone!!
