Harley's First Party

Because we have such a large family, we decided to do two parties for Harley.  Here is Hunter helping us get ready for the first party.
Here is a picture of everyone getting their food.  Whenever the Friel/Myer get together, we always have great things to eat!
Harley in her Tinkerbell dress at her Tinkerbell party.  She got her very first present, a Tinkerbell cup.
Everyone enjoying the party.
I made this Tinkerbell cake myself!  I was very happy with how it turned out.
I also made these fairy silhouette cupcakes.  It was a lot of fun.
I am bringing the cake to Harley.
Everyone is singing to Harley.
I didn't let Harley destroy her Tinkerbell cake.  Instead I made a small heart shaped cake just for her.  This is her enjoying it!

I was so excited when two of my best friends came for a visit at the same time.  Tasha and Erin both ended up in Utah at the same time.  Here is Hunter with his best friend Aidan climbing in a tree.
We got everyone together for a playdate.
Bekah holding Boston, Erin holding Madd, Tasha holding Haddie, Jenna holding Harley, and that is Kayla holding Mash.
We had to have the playdate at the park.  When we first started hanging out, we all had only one or two kids each.  Now we have this large group of kids.
In back:  Harley, Halle, Sienna, Madd, Hunter, Aidan, Brighton, Houston
In front:  Brooklyn, Makena, Boston, Mash
After the park we then walked over to SOS drugstore to get ice cream cones.  All the kids sat at the tables to eat their ice cream, except for Houston who really wanted to sit at the bar.
It was so fun seeing all of our old friends.  I can't wait till they can come again and play!!  Miss you guys!!

Golfing with the Family

Jeff and I live very close to Spanish Oaks Golf course.  After Jeff gets home from work, we like to take the kids to the driving range and putting green for some practice.  All the kids love going, and never want to leave.  Jeff really likes teaching his kids something that he loves.  Hunter and Houston both have their own set of golf clubs, and they both know what clubs they need for what.  The boys just love having this time with their dad.
Here are the boys on the putting green.

T-Wolves

This year my sister Bekah set up an all girls softball team!  We were the T-Wovles.  It was so awesome because all of my sister played on the team!  We played in the Provo woman's league.  Unfortunately for us it's not a very big league, I think there were only seven teams total.  We still had lots of fun making up nicknames, wearing cool socks, and making new friends.  I was so glad that I was able to play on the team!!

Ann and Melinda were on our team, but not in this picture (so sad)

Fourth of July Weekend

Fourth of July was on a Sunday this year.  Our church doesn't start until 2:30, so we had plenty of time to play during the day.  We took the kids on a picnic up Spanish Fork Canyon.  The only swings they had were baby swings, which was great for Harley and Houston, but.................
Not as fun for Jeff and Hunter!  Somehow Jeff managed to squeeze into the little baby swing.
Jeff, Hunter, Houston, and Harley on the swings
Jeff is just adorable!!
So after my husband managed to get into that little swing, I had to give it a try.
Yay I did it!!  It was NOT the most comfortable swing I have ever been in!
Houston loves to swing!  He could swing all day long.  Here I was showing him something new he could do with his swing.
Harley loved loved loved the swings.  She is already a little thrill seaker.

After church we headed over to Bekah's house to do some fireworks.  Kayla, Kevin, and Mash were there.  Steve and Tammy, Cate and Todd, and Tasmin all came to enjoy the festivities.
Bekah had made a bunch of cookies for the party, but their new dog Anna ate ALL of them! (She is tall enough to reach the counter)  Kayla brought some watermelon, so everything was fine.  Harley loved the watermelon, and ate all of mine!

Houston loved the fireworks!

Everyone had glow stick on.  It made it really nice, because it made keeping track of little kids much easier.  Especially Houston, he loves to run around, but we could always find him, by his glow stick necklace.
The kids loved the sparklers!
Harley, Houston, and I.
Tasmin and Harley watching the fireworks
Houston would help Jeff light the fireworks.  As soon as he lit it, he would turn around and run back to the sidewalk yelling, "Run, run, run!!"  Most of the time you could only see his necklace running toward you.
Jeff loves fire!

Cate, Kayla, and Mash.  Mash wasn't really sure what he thought about the fireworks.  Lucky his mom was there to enjoy it with him.

We had so much fun doing fireworks, and just being with our family and friends!  Happy Forth of July everyone!!

Jeff's and Boston's birthday party!

We celebrated Jeff's and Boston's birthday on Saturday July third. My dad threw some steaks and hot dogs on the grill, and had the pool all set up and ready for the grand kids.   Here is my mom with the awesome birthday cake that I made.
The birthday boys.
